NEW! SPOOKS & COUPES
Saturday, October 18

Join the fun at the first annual “Spooks and Coupes,” a new community Halloween event on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. Bring the whole family for an evening of fun! Wear your costumes and trick-or-treat on the outdoor trail where 30 classic and modified cars will be filled with candy!  Then, visit your favorite Disney villains in the Haunted Forest. 

Enjoy bouncing on the inflatables, plus make a visit to the craft tent to make a Halloween goodie. Free musical entertainment will be provided throughout the night. In case you get hungry, several food trucks will be on hand with dinner and snack options (additional cost). The entry fee is $6 per person (cash) with children one and younger admitted free.

FAIRVIEW HALLOWEEN BLOWOUT
Saturday, October 18
Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd.

The Fairview Halloween Blowout features carnival games, contests, prizes and a massive balloon drop.  It’s lots of spooky fun for the family, so be sure to make your reservations now! The Halloween Blowout is for ages 2 to 12 and all children must be accompanied by a parent ($6 per goblin).

TODDLER TALES & TRAILS IN SPRING HILL

Williamson County Parks and Recreation proudly presents Toddler Tales and Trails, an outdoor story time for parents and toddlers ages 18 months to 4 years old. This extra special activity will be held on Thursday, September 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Harvey Park, 4001 Miles Johnson Parkway in Spring Hill. Story time will be followed by a fun activity. Parent participation is required. Reservations are required by calling (615) 302-0971, ext. 2210.



ADVENTURES IN LOW ROPES

Ages 11-15
Monday, October 13 (Fall Break)


Challenge yourself on our low ropes course and learn how to work togeher with team members to counquer the course and problem solve. The low ropes course includes a variety of activites occurring no more than 2-3 feet off the ground. This activity is 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. and lunch is included.

LIFEGUARDS NEEDED


Williamson County Parks and Recreation has immediate openings for lifeguards at three indoor pool locations.  All shifts are available and schedules are flexible for these part-time positions. Anyone age 15 or older may apply.  To discuss certification requirements or training options, please contact Angie Beasley at (615) 370-3471, ext. 2122.




 
FAIRVIEW YOUTH BASKETBALL

Registration is underway and will continue through October 4, 2014 for Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s Fairview Youth Basketball League for ages 5-17 years old. A late registration will run from October 6-11 and will include a late fee. Practices will begin the week of November 3 at Westwood and Fairview Elementary. There will be a uniform try-on day on Saturday, October 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The registration fee is $65 and the uniform fee is $27.
