Facility Closures

On Thursday, July 4, 2013, Williamson County Parks and Recreation outdoor pools at the following locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd.; the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd.; and the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr.

All other facilities of the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department will be closed on Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. All facilities will reopen according to their regularly scheduled times on Friday, July 5.

Outdoor Pool Passes on Sale Now!
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is now offering outdoor pool passes for the 2013 summer swim season. Outdoor pool passes provide access to outdoor pools and indoor facilities at the Franklin Recreation Complex, the Fairview Recreation Complex and the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill from date of purchase through September 1.  For more information on passes, pool hours and other forms of admission, click here.

Kids Garage Sale in Spring Hill!

Shop for bargains at the 5th annual Kids Garage Sale, Saturday, June 22 from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the gymnasium at the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr.  FREE admission and free parking! Pick up gently used toys, games, sporting goods and clothing from our kid vendors for bargain prices.  Parents and kids alike will enjoy this fun shopping experience, so bring the family! 




 

 
Art, Science and Theatre Camps for Kids
Summer Camps Offer Fun and Learning

 
There are still plenty of summer art/science and theatre camps to choose from at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. and the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr.;  but they are filling up quickly! There are art camps for ages 3 and older at both locations (preschool art, drawing, pottery), plus the Franklin location is offering Lego Brain Builders, Abrakadoodle camps, Young Scientists, beginning acting, and a kids Broadway review! Summer Sports Camps for Kids

Tennis, volleyball, basketball, sports conditioning, golf, table tennis and soccer . . .  you name a sport, we have a camp!  In fact, we have over thirty options for sports camps in June, July and August. Most camps last 2 to 5 days, and kids will have a great time working on skills, learning rules and good sportsmanship.   All our sports camps are listed on our athletics website, www.wcprathletics.org. Early registration is encouraged because many of these camps will fill up quickly!

Group Swim Lessons in Fairview

Registration for group swim lessons for children in July at the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd. is scheduled for June 26 and July 17.

Session one will meet Mondays through Thursdays, July 8-11 and July 15-18, with registration on Wednesday, June 26 at noon in the Fairview pool office. During this session, classes will be offered in 30 minute increments from 7:30-9:30 a.m.

Session two will meet Mondays through Thursdays, July 22-25 and July 29-August 1, with registration on Wednesday, July 17 at noon on the Fairview pool deck. During this session, classes will be offered in 30 minute increments from 7:30-9:30 a.m. Participants attend eight classes over a two-week period, and classes are divided into age and level categories.
