FACILITY CLOSURES


All facilities of the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department will be closed Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2014 in observance of Thanksgiving. Facilities will reopen at their regularly scheduled times beginning Saturday, November 29.

TIMBERLAND PARK OPENS
First rustic park for county is on Natchez Trace Parkway

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the opening of Timberland Park, a new 72-acre rustic wooded preserve at mile marker 437.2 on the historic Natchez Trace Parkway. The park features an interpretive center, rustic hiking trails and an ADA accessible trail with overlook. The park is currently open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is no entrance fee. HELP YOUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED!
HOLIDAY FOOD COLLECTION DRIVE


  Desired items are: spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, canned chicken, boxed chicken dinners, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, applesauce, cereal and oatmeal, mixed vegetables, green beans and soups.

Donations will be accepted at four Williamson County recreation centers November 10 through December 12: the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road; the Indoor Sports Complex at 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood; the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd.; and the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Drive.
