Facility Closures
In observance of Memorial Day, all facilities of Williamson County Parks and Recreation
will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2012.
Facilities will reopen at their regularly scheduled times on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

Outdoor Pool Passes on Sale Now!
Williamson County Parks and Recreation opens its three outdoor pools on Tuesday, May 29. If you would like to get in on the fun, take advantage of our “90 days for $90” outdoor pool passes, now on sale at the Franklin Recreation Complex, the Longview Recreation Center in Spring Hill and the Fairview Recreation Complex. Summer Camp Registration Reopens
As we still have spaces available at our Bethesda, Fairview, Grassland, Hunters Bend and Nolensville camp sites, we have extended our registration opportunities for you before the Summer Camp program starts in June. Please take advantage of these dates and times to come in and get your children registered for our outstanding summer program.

Williamson County Community Band Concert
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department presents a free “Concert in the Park” by the Williamson County Community Band on Saturday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Aspen Grove Park in Franklin. The band will perform patriotic numbers, Broadway tunes and marches under the direction of Ken Krause. Aspen Grove Park is in the Cool Springs area of Franklin, at the corner of Seaboard Lane and Aspen Grove Drive. The concert is open to the public and admission is free.
Picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are welcome at the concert. No alcoholic beverages are allowed. This is a family event and a playground area and restrooms are available.

Teen Battle of the Bands
Calling all bands! Audition CDs are now being accepted for Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s 3rd annual Battle of the Teen Bands competition which will be held in the auditorium of Independence High School. Interested teen bands are encouraged to submit their best audition CD and band photo to The Longview Recreation Center, Attn. Darlene Monk, 2909 Commonwealth Drive, Spring Hill, TN 37174. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012.
Judges will narrow down the submissions to four bands that will compete the night of the event for great prizes and the title of this year’s “Best Teen Band”! We need your talent, so get the band together and record a cd! All band members must be 13-18 years old, and must be enrolled in high school on the date of the event.
Battle of the Bands will take place on Saturday, September 8, 2012 beginning at 6 p.m. It’s sure to be a rockin’ good time! For more information, please call (615) 302-0971, ext. 16.
