The STAR Program

The STAR (Student Theatrical Arts Resource) Program offers a fast-paced, but FUN education in musical theatre: 10 weeks (plus tech/show week) of singing, dancing, and acting, while working towards a culminating production of 2 performances on a professional stage. (This program was formerly called the Musical Theatre Experience Program. The Musical Theatre Experience Program has produced "101 Dalmatians Kids", "Annie Kids", "Aristocats Kids", "Dear Edwina, Jr.", "Seussical Kids", "Frozen Kids", "Lion King Kids, "The Addams Family" (young@part version), and "James & the Giant Peach JR.") The STAR Program productions have been Disney's Jungle Book Kids in the fall of 2023 and Disney & Pixar's Finding Nemo Kids in the spring of 2024.

The program is for those 7-12 who may be new to musical theatre and want to gain some experience before trying our audition-based programs. Each class meets once per week for 2 hours and produces a “Kids” version of a play.
