Williamson County Parks and Recreation supports the recruiting efforts of the Census Bureau as they seek applicants for the 2020 Census!
The Census Bureau is actively recruiting to fill part-time positions throughout the U.S. Our current plans call for us to hire more than 150 people in Williamson County. These positions offer:
- Excellent pay, starting at $17.00 per hour in Williamson County
- Select the hours you wish to work, including days night and weekends
- You select the number of hours you wish to work each week
- Ability to work from your home
- Work in your local community
- Paid training
- $0.58 per mile vehicle reimbursement
Employees hired to support the 2020 Census will assist in projects to insure that every resident in Williamson County is counted during the 2020 Census. Williamson County will receive nearly $2000 each year from the federal government for every resident that is counted during the 2020 census. Imagine what our community can do with millions of dollars of additional revenue!

There is an abundance of census jobs available in Franklin and Williamson County starting now as we ramp up, and others will become available through 2020. The most immediate need is for office staff and Address Canvassing. Then Field Supervision and Census Takers. Applicants need to apply now to be eligible as positions roll out. April 1, 2020 is the official Census Day, but there's much work to be done before then and after.
