Nurture your natural artistic ability or push your limits to learn a new skill and talent. WCPR offers a number of arts and crafts classes led by an incredible team of instructors. If you only enjoy the occasional art experience due to an already filled personal calendar, register to attend one-time, open workshops. If you can’t find time during the week then check out our array of weekend workshops. Or, maybe you have time and want to commit to an extended program that offers weekly art classes to advance your skill on a weekly basis. Whatever your schedule, we have just the right program to meet your needs through a variety of art mediums and techniques. A Ford Full of Flowers Who wouldn't want a Ford full of flowers? Enjoy creating this painting on a 10" x 10" piece of wood for a rustic summer display! Acrylic medium; pre-registration is required. Bob Ross Certified Oil Painting From "Happy Little Trees" to "Mighty Mountains," students can join Certified Ross Instructor®, Quintin Burlingame, to learn the Bob Ross Wet-On-Wet technique® made famous on The Joy of Painting®. Each class, students complete an oil on canvas painting focusing on individual components, ultimately culminating into one of Bob's iconic mountain landscapes. Instructor: Quintin Burlingame *All registration cancellations must be submitted in writing to Amber Morris no later than 1 week prior to the start of the program. No credits or transfers will be processed less than 1 week before the date the program is scheduled to begin.
Join Bob Ross Certified Instructor ® Quintin Burlingame as he leads students of all skill levels through the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique®. In this painting, based on Series 14, Episode 1 of The Joy of Painting®, students will learn to paint one of Bob's iconic mountain landscapes. Painting will be on a 12" x 16" canvas. Learn how to use the natural world as your inspiration for abstract painting. Explore expressive color and textural effects to help you find the right balance between control and spontaneity. Experiment with watercolor, acrylic, ink and more. Discover how versatile paint on paper can be as you explore techniques to create a personal path to abstraction. All levels are welcome, including beginners.
Limited spaces available; pre-registration is required. A supply fee of $5.00 is due to the instructor at the beginning of class.
