ENRICHMENT CENTER ACTIVITIES

2019 Senior Resource Fair
Seniors and caregivers are invited to this FREE event hosted by Williamson County Parks & Recreation. Located at the Enrichment Center, expert vendors will provide you with valuable information and options to plan for years ahead. Stop in and learn what our beautiful community has to offer our senior community! The 2019 Senior Resource Fair will be on April 17 from 9am-12pm.

Songs & Stories Featuring Eddie K
Don't miss this wonderful FREE event! Eddie Kilgallon (song writer, musician, and producer) will be joining us to share his favorite inspired songs and some very special stories-complete with lights, sound, and video. Songs & Stories will be on May 15 at 11am.

Mother's Day Brunch
Join us for a Mother's Day Brunch & Movie! This luncheon is to honor mothers 55+, and family are welcome to register as well. Come enjoy a wonderful brunch in the Banquet Hall of the Williamson County Enrichment Center. After brunch, we will walk over to the Performing Arts Center to watch a movie on our theater. Mother's Day Brunch is on May 10 from 11am-3pm. The cost is $12/person. Click here to access online registration, the code is 13898.

Senior Movie Days 
Join us at the Performing Arts Center for Senior Movie Days! Show times are at 1pm, with a general admission of $1 (includes popcorn and a drink). Please see the Enrichment Center front desk for each month's movie selection.

Yarn Club 
This club meets every Wednesday from 10am-12pm at the Enrichment Center. Come socialize & share with friends in the fun of knitting and crocheting! No registration is required. Please stop by the front desk to scan your Enrichment Center pass or pay $1 general admission.

iPad/iPhone Beginner Workshop 
Have you recently upgraded from a flip phone to an iPhone? Or, have you had your iPhone for awhile and only use it for phone calls? If you have an iPhone or iPad and you are ready to learn the ins & outs of it, as well as how to take advantage of its many organizational tools and the countless number of apps you can add to it for even more fun, register today for this workshop! How to Write a Memoir Class
A five-week class series is designed to provide tools and organizational tips on how to get started writing a personal story or memoir. Participants who have taken this Cass series shared that writing techniques discussed in class helped with planning and organizing their personal stories. The cost of the class is $50. Open Art Studio
Express yourself through your own media in our Open Art Studio! Bring your own supplies and ideas. This class will help teach you new techniques and hone in on your artistic abilities. Open Watercolors Studio

Dulcimer Dandies 
Whether you are skilled or new to the dulcimer, you will enjoy practicing and learning with this group. They perform at senior events and other activities throughout the year. No registration required.For more information, please contact 615-786-0186, ext. 2519.

Open Senior Games
Come enjoy the spacious Senior Lounge for socialization, billiards, cards, games, puzzles, and much more. Come and go at your leisure, and free coffee is available all day. Access to the Senior Lounge is included with the general admission fee ($1) or free if you have the annual WCEC pass. The Senior Lounge is open from 7am-5pm on Monday-Friday and 8am-12pm on Saturday. Please see the Enrichment Center front desk for the complete schedule.

NOLENSVILLE ACTIVITIES


Senior Games 
Welcome seniors of the Nolensville Community! This is an open time frame for you and your friends, spouse or neighbor to utilize our game room for your own enjoyment. Whether you wan to play bridge, work on a knitting project or play some games, we are here for you every Thursday from 12pm-4pm. Some cards, games and puzzles are available. No registration required. LONGVIEW ACTIVITIES

Eat Well, Feel Well
Join us at the Longview Recreation Center for a series of classes created by the University of Tennessee Extension. This 5 week course will cover the topics of nutrition, physical activity, and food safety. This program focuses on the unique needs of older adults. Specific topics include: Hydration, physical activity, soup-er nutrition, use it or toss it, and vegetables. The course is free and is on Thursdays from March 7 - April 11 (skipping March 21).

FAIRVIEW 

Senior Citizens meet each Tuesday and Thursday in the seniors room at the Fairview Recreation Complex. At 10:30 a.m. everyone plays bingo. Members who enjoy playing Rook come early on meeting days and play until time for bingo. The seniors also have a pool table and the gentlemen play pool, both before and after the meeting. A covered dish lunch is held on the 1st Tuesday of each month. The business meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and on this day we make plans for day trips or activities.

OPEN SENIOR BOWLING AT FRANKLIN FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT CENTER
If Wii bowling isn't your preference, Franklin Family Entertainment Center (AFFECT), located at 1200 Lakeview Drive, Franklin, TN 37067, offers open senior bowling on Mondays and Fridays at 9am. The cost is $1.50 per game. Please contact FFEC for specific dates and details at (615) 790-2695
