Senior Trips

Each month, we offer day trips and lunch bunch outings to places all throughout Middle Tennessee (and possibly beyond!). Trips are based out of the Enrichment Center (Franklin), Longview Recreation Center (Spring Hill), Fairview Recreation Complex, and the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville.  Please visit the Senior Policies page for more registration information.

Description: Experience a surreal adventure full of eccentricity, enchantment, and endless
mysticism at Down The Rabbit Hole. Join us beneath Noelle for an immersive dining experience
expertly paired with culinary amusements. Hop Down The Rabbit Hole for brunch or a delightful
Mad Hatter Tea and indulge in a delightfully over-the-top experience sure to thrill inside our
whimsical wonderland.

EC Bus Trip: Elephant Sanctuary & Lewis County Museum
Description: The Elephant Discovery Center offers hands-on, self-guided exhibits to educate the
public on the mission and work of The Elephant Sanctuary—creating a world where elephants no
longer live under constant threat of poaching, habitat loss, conflict, or capture. *The elephants'
habitats are closed to the public. Visitors will not see or interact with elephants. * After lunch
(Dutch treat) at Southern Skillet, visit the Lewis Co. Museum to learn local history; including
exhibits on Meriweather Lewis, the Gordonsburg phosphate mines, and Hohenwald’s unique
founding as an international community.

Sports Bus Trip: Nashville Gun Club Guided Skeet Shooting
Description: Calling all sharp shooters! The Nashville Gun Club has set up an experience you
don't want to miss! Just kidding, this guided group event is for both inexperienced and
experienced shooters and involves shooting sporting clays in a "golf like" style. Our group will
travel on a course to different stations and each station has a different target presentation. All
equipment provided.

FV Bus Trip: Carnton Plantation & Carter House Tour
Description: You’ve probably passed by all the time but never stop... Now is the time to take in some local history with a tour of the two historical locations, Carnton Plantation and the Carter House. Step back in time to Franklin during the Civil War. It’s as if history comes alive with these two tours!

Senior Hike – Bowie Park & Earth Day Scavenger Hunt
Description: Celebrate Earth day with a 2mile hike and festive scavenger hunt! Afterwards, have lunch (Dutch treat) at Jefferson’s in Fairview, TN.

LV Bus Trip: The Historic Athenaeum
Description: The Historic Athenaeum in Columbia, Tennessee is all that remains of two famous
girl schools that flourished in the area from the 1830s until the Great Depression. Built in 1837, the
Athenaeum served as the rectory for these two schools and was occupied by the same family for
over 130 years. Join us on a tour of the Athenaeum which is now a historic site and museum.
