Senior Trips

Each month, we offer day trips and lunch bunch outings to places all throughout Middle Tennessee (and possibly beyond!). Trips are based out of the Enrichment Center (Franklin), Longview Recreation Center (Spring Hill), Fairview Recreation Complex, and the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville.  Please visit the Senior Policies page for more registration information.


Lunch Bunch
Let’s do lunch! You meal will always be Dutch treat. Trips are based out of the Enrichment Center (Franklin), Longview Recreation Center (Spring Hill), Fairview Recreation Complex, and the Nolensville Recreation Complex. Registration is required. Each month, we offer day trips and outings to places all throughout middle Tennessee and beyond! From museums and galleries, to distilleries and casinos, we’re always up for an adventure. Trips are based out of the Enrichment Center (Franklin), Longview Recreation Center (Spring Hill), Fairview Recreation Complex, and the Nolensville Recreation Complex. Registration is required. *Kayaking Duck River*
Monday, June 10th 7:30am-3:00pm

Guided 5.5 mile kayaking tour featuring historic mill
sites and a great abundance of wildlife. Bring a sack
lunch and wear activity appropriate attire.

Hike an easy 2 mile trail at Shelby Bottoms Park
while searching for wild blackberries. Lunch
(Dutch treat) to follow at a local restaurant.

*Pin Oak Lake Tour*

Natchez Trace State Park is located on an
alternate route of the old Natchez Trace, whose
name originally applied to a series of American
Indian trade and travel routes. These were later
used by returning boatmen that floated goods          
to markets in Natchez and New Orleans from the
Nashville area. Fishing remains a favorite activity          
at Natchez Trace and anglers have four lakes to
choose from. Join us on a pontoon boat for a
ranger guided tour of the largest of the four,
690 acre Pin Oak Lake. Afterwards we'll have
lunch at the Log Cabin Restaurant in Hurricane Mills, TN.

*Nashville Flea&Farmers Market*                  
Friday, June 21st 8:30pm-2:30pm

Bring your shopping bags for a fun outing to              
the Nashville Flea Market which is considered              
one of the top 10 flea markets in the country              
with 800-1,200 vendors selling a variety of                
goods. Then head to lunch/more shopping            
at the Nashville Farmers Market which features              
a variety of restaurant options, farm sheds to              
buy fruits and vegetables, as well as a garden                
center! Let's shop till we drop!

National Civil Rights Museum 
& The Peabody Hotel 
Thursday, June 13th 7:00am-7:00pm

"I Have a Dream"... join us for a trip to
Memphis, TN! Tour the National Civil Rights
Museum, with exhibits housed at the Lorraine
Motel where Dr. Martin Luther King was
assassinated, that provides a rich history
of the Civil Rights Movement. Also visit the
Peabody Hotel, to watch the world famous
Mallard Ducks march through the lobby and
take their daily dip in the hotel fountain.  
Lunch (Dutch treat) at a local restaurant.
