Williamson County Parks & Recreation understands the importance of getting children MOVING!  We want them to learn the benefits of having an active and healthy lifestyle, teaching them to take care of themselves as well as the world in which they live.  We also want them to have enrichment programs that help to cultivate a desire for life-long learning.  WCPR offers a multitude of programs to engage your child all year long. While you come to enjoy your workout – we will keep your child active and engaged too! This class is designed to teach the sport of jump rope while instilling positive character qualities in youth of all ages! Participants will receive high quality instruction in single rope, shared rope, long rope, double dutch, and more. All classes are taught by a trained instructor, who will provide a fun, safe, and inviting atmosphere. Jump rope is great for building hand-eye coordination, footwork, cardiovascular health, and overall general fitness.

*Jump ropes provided, but may be purchased for $5 from instructor for home use.

Don't know how to initiate the discussion on stranger danger, abduction, abuse, or digital safety like cyber bullying or sexting? This class has you covered: teaching your child how to be safer at home and more aware in the community! We'll provide a drink and a snack; please let us know if your child has a food allergy.
