Youth / Children's Classes

Williamson County Parks & Recreation understands the importance of getting children MOVING!  We want them to learn the benefits of having an active and healthy lifestyle, teaching them to take care of themselves as well as the world in which they live.  We also want them to have enrichment programs that help to cultivate a desire for life-long learning.  WCPR offers a multitude of programs such as martial arts, stem camps, and after school programs. Activities vary throughout the year to engage your child all year long. While you come to enjoy your workout – we will keep your child active and engaged too! We also offer a variety of other programs which may be found in other areas of the website.  Please see Health & Wellness, Music Classes and Art Classes for more programs.

Robotics Robo Games curriculum is designed to introduce students to the world of not only building, but also programming basic robots. The challenge facing robotics engineers is that the robot knows only what is written into the program. The design of the robot must also be capable of performing the task at hand. Each day students will design and program their LEGO robots (EV3) to compete in games inspired by the classics such as Pong, and hide and go seek among others. Students will use their robots to take down their classmates in challenges designed to test and develop their creative programming skills.
