Youth / Children's Classes

Williamson County Parks & Recreation understands the importance of getting children MOVING!  We want them to learn the benefits of having an active and healthy lifestyle, teaching them to take care of themselves as well as the world in which they live.  We strive to offer enrichment programs that help to cultivate a desire for life-long learning.  WCPR offers a multitude of programs such as martial arts, stem camps, and after-school programs. Activities vary throughout the year to engage your child all year long. While you come to enjoy your workout – we will keep your child active and engaged too! We also offer a variety of other programs which may be found in other areas of the website.  Please see Health & Wellness, Music Classes and Art Classes for more programs.

This piano group class will be structured as small interactive coaching classes. Students will use their iPad/tablet to access the music app that's been selected to help with learning. The class is designed to give students exposure to piano and music, while mitigating the isolation aspect of individual piano coaching.

Students will have the opportunity to learn scales and theory together. However, they will also be able to practice individual pieces that are assigned (or at times, pieces they have been allowed to choose). This class is designed to allow individual students to receive both coaching and peer support. Lastly these classes will allow each student to perform small increments of music for their group to build confidence and musicianship.

Instructor: Andrea Nichole, The Allegro Music Academy - theallegromusicacademy70@gmail.com

For any questions about refunds/credits/transfers please contact Evan Smith at evan.smith@williamsoncounty-tn.gov. Refund/credit/transfer requests must be submitted in writing at least 48 hours prior to the start of the first class.
