Youth / Children's Classes
Williamson County Parks & Recreation understands the importance of getting children MOVING! We want them to learn the benefits of having an active and healthy lifestyle, teaching them to take care of themselves as well as the world in which they live. We also want them to have enrichment programs that help to cultivate a desire for life-long learning. WCPR offers a multitude of programs such as martial arts, stem camps, and after school programs. Activities vary throughout the year to engage your child all year long. While you come to enjoy your workout – we will keep your child active and engaged too! We also offer a variety of other programs which may be found in other areas of the website. Please see Health & Wellness, Music Classes and Art Classes for more programs.

S.T.E.M |
Civil engineering is one of the widest-reaching disciplines in the engineering field. Civil engineers must work cooperatively with architects, local governments, citizens, and other engineers to successfully build large- and small-scale projects. Civil engineers use aspects of physics, mathematics, and computer technology to create plans and drawings that are used by different professionals to build structures.
Aerospace engineering is one of the newest disciplines of engineering, facilitated by the growth of the aviation industry in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Aerospace engineers are responsible for the design of aircraft and the subsequent assembly or construction process. Aerospace engineering can be further broken down into two separate branches: aeronautical engineering, which deals with the design of near-atmosphere aircraft and astronautical engineering, which involves exo-atmosphere spacecraft.
The Junior Aerospace Engineering classes introduce our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of aircraft and spacecraft design. Through open and focused exploration students explore and construct airplanes, rockets, helicopters, and more. |
