Williamson County Community Band
Unfortunately the majority of Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) department organized programs and classes; along with large group activities and events taking place in WCPR facilities and parks for the foreseeable future have been cancelled. As federal, state and county operation guidelines are released, we hope to begin a gradual, modified list of programming opportunities, as allowed.
The Williamson County Community Band is an all-volunteer band of amateur and seasoned musicians. This inter-generational group features approximately 60 musicians ranging in age from pre-teen to upper 80's and is made up of all skill levels. Everyone is welcome to pick up their instrument and join the band. Started in 2000, this band has grown and gained musical recognition and acclaim over the years throughout Williamson County and the surrounding mid-state area. Averaging 7 concerts a year, they perform free indoor and outdoor concerts for the community at various venues and parks, including The Factory, Aspen Grove, Westhaven, the Brentwood Library, Crockett Amphitheatre and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
For information on joining the band, contact director Randy Frame at email@example.com. If you'd like to schedule a concert, please contact Laurie Kamunen at Laurie.Kamunen@williamsoncounty-tn.gov or call 615-790-5719 ext. 2018.
