Pickleball

Pickleball is played on a badminton-sized court: 20’ x 44,’ with a whiffle ball type ball, a square ping pong paddle, and the net lowered like a tennis net. The first side scoring eleven points and leading by at least two points wins. Pickleball can be played with singles or doubles. Pickleball can be as fast or slow as you want it and is very kind to beginners.

Outdoor Court Reservation Policies

• Reservations can be made online only
• Courts are located at the following locations:
  • Academy Park: 110 Everbright Ave., Franklin, TN 37064
  • College Grove: 8601 Horton Hwy., College Grove, TN 37046
  • Indoor Sports Complex: 920 Heritage Way, Brentwood, TN 37027
  • Longview Recreation Center: 2909 Commonwealth Dr., Spring Hill, TN 37174
• $10.00 per court per hour
• Reservations may be made 3 days in advance starting at 8:00 a.m.
• One reservation per person per day
• NO refunds or rainchecks
• To check out equipment, please visit the front desk during regular business hours
• Please bring a printed or electronic copy of your Reservation Receipt as proof of purchase

Indoor Court Open Play

• Open play pickleball is available at the following recreation centers.  Click links below for open play pickleball hours.

  • Longview Recreation Center: September Schedule
  • Nolensville Recreation Complex: September 11- October 1 Schedule
• Academy Park Gym is available for open play Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Hillsboro-Leiper's Fork Community Center is available for open play Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
• Facility admission fees will apply.

Pickleball Court Rules

• WCPR programs have priority over court use
• Abide by posted court hours
• Reservations take priority over free play
• Courts are intended ONLY for Pickleball play
• 2 to 4 players per court. No swapping of courts or players.
• Timeslots are on the even hour every other hour
• A 10 minute grace period will be granted before your timeslot is re-issued to waiting players
• No outside individual/group lesson/instruction or organized play allowed
• Proper attire must be worn at all times: Shirts, shorts or pants, and athletic shoes
• Non marking athletic shoes only
• No pets on the courts at any time
• No food or glass containers allowed inside the court area
• Please remove all trash prior to leaving the court area
• Profanity of any manner is strictly prohibited
• Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated
• No chalk or paint on the courts
• Failure to follow the rules could result in loss of court privileges
• Any WCPR equipment must be returned at close of the facility
• NO SKATEBOARDS - ROLLERBLADES - ROLLER SKATES - BICYCLES/TRICYCLES
