Franklin Therapeutic Activities

Therapeutics Open Swim
This swim time is geared towards patrons with developmental disabilities and/or intellectual disabilities and their families/caregivers. Therapeutics Open Swim is offered every Saturday from 1pm-2pm at the Franklin Recreation Complex indoor pool. The cost is $2/person or patrons can scan their WCPR pass. This swim time is drop-in, no registration is required. Please note: Lap swimming is also allowed during this time.
Swim, Pizza, and Movie
Meet us at the Franklin Rec Center and enjoy an afternoon with friends! Participants will swim first (please remember a towel and change of clothes) followed by a pizza lunch and a movie on the big screen. This program is geared towards young adult and up is offered on a Friday from 11am-2pm. Registration is required.

Bingo
Please join us for a delicious dinner and bring a friend to our monthly Bingo night! Enjoy dinner and a festive atmosphere...add an hour of exciting Bingo and you have a fun-filled evening! Dinner, drinks, dessert, and prizes are provided. This program is geared towards teens and up, and is offered the one Thursday each month from 5:30pm-7:30pm. We currently offer this special event at the Franklin Recreation Complex.

Friendsday Wednesday
Wednesday should always be Friendsday! Come hang out with us as we create a fun craft or project and make a yummy snack to enjoy to together. The theme for each month will change. This program meets on a Wednesday from 10am-11:30am* and is for young adults and up. Registration required.

Culinary Creations
Come enjoy cooking with friends! Participants will have an opportunity to cook a variety of different foods that are tasty and easy to make at home. This class meets one Wednesday each month from 10:30am-12pm. Registration is required.

Meal Prep 101
During this new class, participants will get to make a meal for two to take home and eat or freeze for another day. Participants will also get to try the finished meal that the instructor prepares.

Strange Science & Sensory
In this class, participants will participate and interact in strange science experiments and also enjoy a variety of sensory activities.

Open Crafts Studio
Open Craft Studio will offer several craft options for participants to choose from, and all projects will be able to be taken home at the end of the program. Open Craft Studio meets on either a Monday or Friday afternoon, and the time varies.

Open Paint Studio
Open Paint Studio will offer all the supplies needed to complete a painting of your choice. Canvases and paint supplies (water colors, acrylics, and oil paints) will be provided. Open Paint Studio meets on a Monday from 4pm-4:50pm.

Valentine's Chocolate & Treat Making
In this fun and festive activity, participants will be making chocolates and other Valentine's Day themed treats. Participants will have treats to take home and share.

Come out and make some special Valentine's Day cards. Participants will be able to use a variety of materials to make their card fantastic.

Recreation Night
This teens and older program offers different activities each month, such as dinner and movie, socials, karaoke night, and dances. Dinner is also included with this activity. This program meets one Thursday each month from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Registration is required.
