What is Discover Williamson?
Discover Franklin was founded in 2015 by The Council On Aging of Middle Tennessee and is now presented as Discover Williamson by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department. This program is designed for active adults, age 55 and up, who are interested in learning more about Williamson County and opportunities to make a difference in the local community.
Classes meet every week for 6 consecutive weeks from 9am-2pm. Each day will start and end at the Williamson County Enrichment Center (110 Everbright Ave., Franklin, TN) and will feature Williamson County leaders and expose participants to first-hand experiences, discussions, lectures, and tours. Each day is centered on a specific theme (Community Resources & Volunteerism, Government, Health, Economic Development, Community Spotlight, and Livability). Lunch and transportation are provided for each day.
This is a unique and exciting learning experience that will enhance your knowledge and understanding of Williamson County!
