Discover WilliamsonWhat is Discover Williamson?
Discover Franklin was founded in 2015 by The Council On Aging of Middle Tennessee and is now presented as Discover Williamson by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department. This program is designed for active adults, age 55 and up, who are interested in learning more about Williamson County and opportunities to make a difference in the local community.
Through lectures by Williamson County leaders, discussions and tours, the group will explore a number of topics including county history, government, economic development, health, community resources, and volunteering. Lunch and transportation are provided for each day.
This is a unique and exciting learning experience that will enhance your knowledge and understanding of Williamson County.
Two 6-week sessions are offered each year (in the Spring and Fall). Each day will start and end at the Williamson County Enrichment Center (110 Everbright Ave.). For more information, please call (615) 790-5719, ext. 2021.
