Summer 2023 Camp details & registration:

Robotics: Building Bots To Rumble

Welcome to our Robotics Camp! Do you think you can build the best battle robot? In this week-long program, campers will have the chance to build and customize their very own robots using DC and servo motors, switches, LEDs, IR sensors, and wired and wireless controllers. Each day, campers will build two different robots and have the opportunity to test them out in a variety of fun robot games and battles.

After we tackle these basic robotic components, we'll dive into creating a self-driving bot and learn how to code our robots in Scratch. We'll then challenge the young engineers to write the code to get their bots through multiple challenges, all while keeping it fun! With a focus on hands-on learning and problem-solving, this camp is perfect for kids who are interested in robotics and engineering. Get ready for an action-packed week full of robot building and battling in this camp, and may the best bot win!

June 5th-9th | 9:00am-12:00pm | Longview | $225 | 26971
July 17th-21st | 9:00am-12:00pm | Fairview | $225 | 26980
July 24th-28th | 1:00pm-4:00pm | Longview | $225 | 26976

Robotics: Amusement Park Tycoon
In this camp, we'll be teaching robotics concepts while building our own models of amusement park rides. Campers will be building their own versions of bumper cars, Ferris wheels, trains, spinning rides, go-karts, and roller coasters. We'll be building 2 robots/rides each day while teaching campers about gears, axles, switches, dc and servo motors, LEDs, IR sensors, mainboards, wired and wireless controllers, and more. Some 'rides' will be completed by one camper while others will require a team effort where all the campers come together to make the 'ride' extra thrilling! With all of our robotics camps, we'll be encouraging the amusement park designers      (along with some help from our master engineers) to customize and improve upon their original designs.

June 5th-9th | 1:00pm-4:00pm | Longview | $225 | 26974
July 10th-14th | 9:00am-12:00pm | Franklin | $225 | 26977
July 24th-28th | 9:00am-12:00pm | Longview | $225 | 26982

Robotics: Expedition Mars
Young engineers will be introduced to robotics concepts while building models of rovers, drones, satellites, and other spacecraft. We'll be building 2 robots each day while teaching about gears, axles, switches, dc and servo motors, LEDs, IR sensors, mainboards, wired and wireless controllers, and more. Each day's building plans will be woven into lessons on the Red Planet, NASA, and astronomy. Since each student builds multiple robots each day, we'll use those robots in a game, activity, or competition to provide an opportunity for campers to customize and improve upon their creations.
