FRANKLIN THEATRE'S "MY FAIR LADY"
Come join us for a delightful evening at the Franklin Theatre for the Studio Tenn production of "My Fair Lady." Studio Tenn Theatre Company was founded in the Fall of 2009 by nationally recognized director and artist Matt Logan, Emmy Award winning producer Philip Hall, and Broadway and film actress Marguerite Lowell Hall. The company's inaugural production of Thorton Wilder's "Our Town" was an enormous success and enough to convince Studio Tenn's founders that this was something which could continue! Shortly thereafter Jake Speck left the Broadway production of Jersey Boys, where he played the lead role of Bob Gaudio, to join Studio Tenn as its Managing Director.
Based upon George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, lyrics by Alan Hay Lerner, and music by Frederick Loewe, "My Fair Lady" concerns Eliza Doolittle. A cockney flower girl, who takes speech lessons from Professor Henry Higgins, a phonetics, so that she may pass as a well born lady.
