Day Trips
Two to three times a month, we offer day trips to places all throughout Middle Tennessee and Northern Kentucky. Transportation is provided and departs from our facilities in Franklin and Spring Hill.
Ryman Auditorium and Hard Rock Cafe
Our day begins with a comfortable bus ride to Nashville to the Ryman Auditorium, which first opened its doors in 1892 as a vision of Captain Thomas G. Ryman. With the coming of the Grand Ole Opry show in 1943, the Ryman found its identity as the Mother Church of Country Music. In 1974, the Opry moved to its current home by the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center and left the Ryman vacant. It was not until twenty years later in 1994 that the Ryman was restored to be the national showplace that it is today. A National Historic Landmark and former home of the Grand Ole Opry (1943-1974), the Ryman continues its more than 100 year music tradition by offering the best in entertainment. After this great tour, we will enjoy lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe! Located in downtown's "historic" district, the Hard Rock Cafe offers something for everyone, including BBQ, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and rockin' desserts! Don't miss this great trip!

Jack Daniel Distillery and Ms. Mary Bobo's
We start our exciting day aboard a comfortable motor coach as we travel to Lynchburg, TN to tour the Jack Daniels Distillery. Nearly a quarter of a million people make their way to Lynchburg every year. For many, it's a pilgrimage to see the Distillery where Jack Daniels whiskey has been made for more than a century and a half. On our tour, we'll learn the complete story behind Jack Daniel's...and hear an interesting story or two about Mr. Jack as well! After our tour, we'll depart for Ms. Mary Bobo's Boarding House. This delightful family-style restuarant is sure to be a crowd pleaser. You are greeted by the ringing of a dinner bell, then a tune from teh hand-cranked music box. You are escorted to your table, and seated with a hostess who is familiar with the restaurant history, the furnishings, and th efood you will served. Your meal will include two entrees and six or so side dishes, with a hot bread, a dessert, and coffee. Glasses of iced tea are at each place setting. Don't miss this great trip!

Patti's
Back by popular demand! We start our exciting day aboard a comfortable motor coach as we travel to Grand Rivers, Kentucky (near Land Between the Lakes) to Patti's 1880's Settlement. Patti's 1880's Restaurant, formally "Hamburger Patti's Ice Cream Parlor," opened in 1977 with a seating capacity of 20 people. Today, Patti's has grown into a much larger restaurant that seats over 225 people. This award winning restaurant (Southern Living Magazine's Reader's Choice for Best Small Town Restaurant) has become famous for their pork chops, mile-high meringue pies and flower pot bread. Lunch will consist of a choice between two entrees:
-1" Pork Chop-A half pound of pork, charbroiled over an open flame and basted with Patti's special seasonings and sauce.
-Grilled Chicken-An 8 ounce boneless chicken breast, charbroiled and basted with a carefully blended array of herbs and spices.
All entrees come with a baked potato and fresh garden salad with homemade dressings, home-baked flower pot bread, and a choice of dessert. After our delicious lunch, spend some time exploring several of the specialty shops located near the restaurant. Enjoy this afternoon full of great food and shopping!
