Williamson County Parks and Recreation offers monthly social programs for children, teens and adults with physical and developmental disabilities.
Fitness Fun
Need a smart start for healthy heart? Then join Fitness Fun. You will have fun while getting the exercise your body needs. We will participate in activities geared towards improving cardiovascular abilities, increasing flexibility, and strengthening muscles. This weekly program is designed for individuals who are independent with their personal care and can follow directions within a small group.
Please note, this program will resume in the fall.
Potluck and Bingo
Join us for an evening of fun, food and bingo! Meat, drinks and bingo prizes will be provided, just bring a side dish or dessert to share.
PALS program: People at Leisure with Support - a caregiver is required to stay with those needing support. Caregivers are asked to register if planning to attend and eat. Do to the limited number of winners, Bingo prizes are awarded only to the participants.

Recreation Night-Dinner and a Movie
Come join us for dinner and the movie, "Up." We will enjoy watching the exciting adventures of widower, Carl Fredricksen and his guest to get to Paradise Falls, South America. When Carl ties hundres of balloons to his house and flies away to South America, he finally fulfills his lifelong dream of adventure. But after discovering an 8-year-old stowaway named Russell, this unlikely duo soon finds themselves on a hilarious journey in a lost world filled with danger and surprises. During our movie, we will enjoy pizza, salad, drinks and dessert. Don't miss this fun evening.

Games Galore-Volleyball

Super Saturday Respite
Come join us in games, music, swimming, crafts and more. You will need your swimsuit, towel, lunch and drink for a day full of fun! Personal care is provided for those with special needs only. Because swimming is our first activity, please send your child dressed to swim. Please note, this program will resume September 2010.
Please note: New Respite Registration Policy! Registration begins at 9:00am on the first day of registration. All registration will be done within the Therapeutic Division and not the front desk.
How to register for Respite:
1. You may walk-in at the Respite site the first day of registration. After the first day no walk-in registrations are taken.
2. You may call Jayne McFadden at (615)790-5719 ext. 33 for the Franklin Complex Respite. You may call Mary Clark at (615)302-0971 ext. 18 for the Longview Recreation Center Respite. You must speak with a therapist to register.
Leaving a message is not registering.
Payment must be received within 5 days of registration or you will be moved to the waiting list.
