Williamson County Parks and Recreation knows families everywhere are pinching pennies these days - but that doesn't mean you can't have fun. The department is offering an array of FREE sample classes for adults and families in October. The “Free for Fall” classes at the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Boulevard, the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill and the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. offer an opportunity to try something new absolutely free!

USE YOUR NOODLE- Pasta Art
Have fun creating spooky Halloween skeletons out of pasta noodles. The FREE Noodle Art class is Friday, October 28 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and is for ages 3 years and up at the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Boulevard. Please register by calling (615) 799-9331.

BEGINNING BELLY DANCE
In the Beginning Belly Dance class participants will learn the basics this unique and fun dance form. The FREE classes are Sunday, October 2 from 2:45-3:45 p.m., Wednedsay, October 19 from 7:10-7:55 p.m. and Friday, October 21 from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. PARRIS ISLAND BOOT CAMP-THE F SERIES
Parris Island-The F Series is a workout of intense military calisthenics led by former Marine Corps Staff Sergeant, Bruce Gust. This is a class with a pace and format that pushes and encourages you to accomplish more than you thought you could! FREE classes are October 3, 5 and 7 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and October 11, 13 and 14 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. OPEN PLAY GYM DATES
Drop your children off in the gymnasium at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill on Court 2 while you use the facility. Children, ages 4-9 years old can stay up to 1.5 while under staff supervision. Gym equipment, sports balls and an open court are available for open play! This is a free activity from 8:30-11:50 a.m. on Monday, October 3; Wednesday, October 5; Friday, October 7; Tuesday, October 11; Monday, October 17 and Tuesday, October 18. TODDLER TALES AND TRAILS
Williamson County Parks and Recreation proudly presents Toddler Tales and Trails, an outdoor story time for parents and toddlers ages 18 months to 4 years old. This extra special activity will be held on Wednesdays, October 5 and 19 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Thompson’s Station Park, 1513 Thompson’s Station Rd West. Story time will be followed by a fun activity. Parent participation is required. Bring a blanket to sit on for story time. Strollers are permitted. No pets please! There is no cost; however reservations are required by calling (615)302-0971, ext. 10. In the event of inclement weather, this activity will be canceled. The October 19 story time has been canceled.
PROFESSOR FIXIT REMODELING AND HOME REPAIR WORKSHOPS
Learn to “do it yourself” in the Longview Recreation Center’s latest, professionally taught workshops. Mark McKenzie, a.k.a. “Professor Fixit” is a state licensed home improvement contractor with over 25 years of home repair experience. Learn the skills you need to fix your home and save money. A FREE class on Drywall Repair is Saturday, October 8 from 1-3 p.m. and a class on Toilet Repair is Saturday, October 15 from 1-3 p.m. at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. SUPER MOM’S COACHING
In this class, Instuctor, Deaunna Evans will focus on techniques to help you turn around your child’s negative behavior! This class is for parents with children between the ages of 6 months – 5 years old. The FREE class is Tuesday, October 11 from 10-11 a.m. and Thursday, October 20 from 7-8 p.m. at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. POLYNESIAN DANCING
Learn to dance like the natives of Hawaii, Samoa, New Zealand and Tahiti in this fun class of Polynesian dancing. Instructor Chris Hendrickson uses these dance representations as a form of both exercise and education. Adults and teens are welcome. COUPONING BASICS
It’s easy to save money with coupons! In this class, students will be presented with information on finding, organizing and using coupons. You will learn couponing lingo as well as have hands on demonstrations.
