Sculpty Snowman
You won't believe how cute this snowman is. We will use an "ooey-gooey" molding product and make a snowman to hang up for the holidays. He is so fun to make and you will need to wear old clothes to make this fun project.

CHILDREN'S POTTERY
During this new class, students will hand build projects using slaps, coils and pinch pots. VALENTINE'S COLORING CONTEST 
Be sure to pick up a picture from the Fairview Recreation Complex for our coloring contest. Prizes will be awarded for 1st place in each age group. Age groups are 3 to 4 year olds, 5 to 6 year olds, 7 to 8 year olds, and 9 to 10 year olds. Pick up a sheet to color starting February 1st and have it turned in no later than 5:30pm on Tuesday, February 28th. All winners will be notified by phone.

These ongoing classes will explore the artistic elements and principles of design through quick, fun and engaging projects.  The class will consist of an hour long studio session where the children will have the opportunity to explore media while generating several different projects.  During the final half hour, the children will create a file folder “lap-book” as a way to remember the artistic concepts that were explored in class.  The children will also have access to games and creativity building toys after studio time is complete.

STICKY FINGERS PRESCHOOL CLUB – Fun Artistic Approach to Learning for Your Creative Preschooler
The “Sticky Fingers Preschool Club” offer children a fun place to come and explore a variety of crafting experiences.  A different theme, with coordinating activities using letters, shapes, numbers and colors will be offered each month.  “Sticky Fingers” provides your child with a creative supplement to preschool by enhancing fine motor and developmental skills necessary to begin school.  Sign up today so your child can experience the joy of “Sticky Fingers”!!!!  Children MUST be Potty Trained!!! ART CONNECTIONS
Art Connections will offer your child the opportunity to learn about the visual arts and apply that knowledge to everyday learning.  Great for home school groups. The classes will be divided into two sections.  The beginning of each class will have students discussing the current topic and exploring works of art created by other people.  Students keep an art journal to help organize ideas.   The end of each class will involve "studio time" where the children take the concept they learned and apply it to their own art.  The classes will be taught by Casey Kirk holds a Master’s Degree in Art Education and a Tennessee Teaching License for Visual Arts. She has been teaching visual art for over 10 years.   The classes will have strong connections to the National Education Standards for the Arts.

Exploring Art from Mexico
Students will examine artwork from Mexico to understand the idea of pattern and unity in a work of art. The class will use paper mache, wood and paper to create unique and colorful projects that are inspired by the examples from Mexico!

ENJOY CAKE DECORATING – "Mommy and Me" Cupcakes
In this class young students and their parent helpers learn various easy ways to decorate cupcakes for the holiday season, as well as different icing methods. Students need to bring one dozen plain, un-iced cupcakes (any flavor) to class.

DEB’Z KID’Z ART
In this on-going fun-filled class, participants create a practice drawing using basic shapes.  Then they build on by using a variety of methods including markers, colored pencils, pastels and watercolors to create a work of art!
