STICKY FINGERS PRESCHOOL CLUB
The “Sticky Fingers Preschool Club” offers children a fun place to come and explore a variety of crafting experiences. A different theme, with coordinating activities, will be offered each month. “Sticky Fingers” provides your child with a creative supplement to preschool by enhancing fine motor and developmental skills necessary to begin school. 
Classes will resume in August and registration begins on Monday, July 12th for the August sessions.

Williamson County Parks and Recreationís arts and crafts department is stirring up ideas at the Franklin Complex!  Would your group of friends like to try something new and creative together?  Is your scout troop looking to complete an art badge?  Are you looking for a new Birthday Party Theme?  Do you simply need a creative outlet to satisfy your organizationís adventurous spirit?  It's a custom-made, you-pick-your-project way of meeting the demand for artistic expression.  We've put a few ideas together to help you! CREATIVE KIDS
This fun and exciting class lets children explore their creativity through different projects.  Projects vary weekly and include painting and decorating wood objects, creating pictures with felt, making bracelets, and also creating crafts with recyclable materials.  Don’t forget to wear clothes that might get a little messy!
Day:  Saturdays

Ages:  5+ (Must be able to take direction and sit for one hour)

DEB’Z DOODLEZ
In this on-going fun-filled class, participants create a practice drawing using basic shapes.  Then they build on by using a variety of methods including markers, colored pencils, pastels and watercolors to create a work of art!   Students create a different project each week in this monthly class.
Days:  Thursdays
Dates:   7/8 – 7/22
Session Length:  3 weeks
Time:  6:00pm to 7:30pm
Ages:  All Ages (must be able to sit for an hour and a half)

INTRODUCTION TO MANGA DRAWING
Come join the fun in this Manga for Beginners class. Students will learn the basic layout and proportions of drawing Manga Shoujo (girl) and Shounen (boy) characters in the traditional "big-eyed" style of Japanese style cartooning.  Basic drawing techniques and skills will be introduced.  A suggested supply list will be made available upon registration.  Supplies will be available during class for a minimal fee.  No prior drawing experience is required.

MANGA DRAWING - Japanese Style Cartooning
In this Intermediate Manga Drawing class students will learn the fundamentals of cartoon drawing, from body proportions and facial expressions to clothing and costumes. Action poses and Shounen characters will also be introduced.  A suggested supply list will be made available upon registration.  Supplies will be available during class for a minimal fee.  Previous drawing experience is required (see Introduction to Manga).  Contact instructor for further information.

ADVENTURES IN SEWING
In this class, students will learn sewing machine basics, such as sewing straight and curved lines, button holes, zippers and more.  During the class, students will complete simple projects using their newly acquired skills. Students will need to bring basic sewing supplies: scissors, measuring tape and a seam ripper. To reserve a sewing machine call Lauren Nichols at 302-0971 Ext. 25.  Space is limited!

CELEBRATE WITH ARTS & CRAFTS 
Schedule your child’s birthday party now!
Arts & Crafts parties are an affordable, fresh place to celebrate your child’s birthday!  Parents help plan the big day by choosing from a list of themes or, with the instructor, develop a theme that truly fits with the child’s personality and interests.  All craft supplies are provided.  Food and drink are provided by parent and are limited to a snack (cake, cupcakes, etc.) and a drink.
Days:  Parties available Monday - Saturday
Session/Party Length:  1 hour for ages 3-5; 1 ½ hours for ages 6-10
Time:  Varies based on room availability
Ages:  3-10
Class Fee:  $5.00 per child attending
Supply Fee:  $20.00 per 10 children
