David Hawkins played tennis for Tusculum College in Greenville, TN.  As a senior in high school, he attended Van Der Meer Tennis Academy in Hilton Head, SC.  He has competed in numerous tournaments through the Southern region and is still an active participant in tournament competition.  Prior to joining the WCPR staff, he taught at Fairfield Glade Community Club in Crossville, TN and Manker Patten Tennis Club in Chattanooga, TN.
